Who doesn’t love Mexican food? I mean, what’s not to love…from chips and dip to the last bite, the only thing missing is the Mexican equivalent of the Chinese fortune cookie. It is affordable and satisfies many different palates, with both seafood and beef, vegetarian entrees, and all kinds of in-betweens.

I love a tamale. I prefer a cilantro rice over the traditional, and like extra
cheese on my refried beans. I love any meal that lets me build corn tortillas
into yummy blends of flavors. So why do I bring this up?
You are encouraged to become the whole enchilada. As a merchandising rep you create the magic of a display that draws shoppers to a lovely presentation of wares. You are the conduit between the manufacturer and the consumer. You must know the manufacturer’s wishes and still tickle the fancy of a fickle shopper.
As you refine your craft you become the whole enchilada.
Over the course of time you may find yourself in other roles, and a career may
evolve. I always wanted to be a personal shopper…I could shop as much as I
wanted and never spend a dime of my own money. In as sense I still do that…I’m
just helping someone else to spend their money without the personal connection.
In the grand scheme of the whole American economy, where are you? You represent the point of contact between brand and buyer, and that makes you pretty darned important! Take pride in your work, and become a builder of wealth. As you bless the shopper with a great shopping experience and the manufacturer with a way of selling wares, you are blessed in the process.
